Hannah Sloan Curatorial & Advisory (HSC&A) and satis.FACTORY Casa de Arte are pleased to announce their landmark partnership for 2025. This collaboration will make possible a full year of innovative programming at the Costa Rican art house and underscores HSC&A’s commitment to fostering cultural exchange between Los Angeles and Central America.
The partnership supports satis.FACTORY's interdisciplinary mission by funding a dynamic range of initiatives that include exhibitions, performance, educational workshops, community engagement, international artist residencies, publications and a podcast.

This year’s programming highlights include:
/ An international residency with Emilia Yang and Milton Gillen - exiled Nicaraguan artists currently living in the United Sates.
/ El Chanchito: a grant awarded to an individual or collective who contributes to the sustainability of satis.FACTORY
/ Escucha Complice Podcast: a listening space for women and LGTBQ+ artists from Latin America
/ The development of artist books, exhibition catalogs and limited edition prints with independent publisher AZETAguía

A highlight of the partnership is a new residency program launching in Spring 2025, offering LA-based Latinx artists immersive experiences in Costa Rica's contemporary art scene.
The residency is scheduled for August 4 - September 1, 2025. One selected artist will receive roundtrip transportation from Los Angeles, a $1,000 stipend, accommodation, meals, studio space, and comprehensive curatorial support.
