/ About The Program

Taking place from August 4 – September 1, 2025, the residency is designed to foster meaningful cultural exchange between two vibrant art communities. We provide the selected artist with a supportive space to play, produce, research, explore, and exhibit work-in-progress while connecting with the broader art community.

Residents will exhibit or present work under their preferred format: exhibition, popup, publication, happening, performance, workshop, community gathering, talk or lecture. Artists who are interested in creating, researching, and temporarily living in an independent, multidisciplinary, and experimental art house are encouraged to apply.

“This residency creates a vital connection between Los Angeles artists and Costa Rica's flourishing contemporary art scene. We're especially excited to support a unique cultural exchange and foster networking opportunities for LA artists in a new country — all within a supportive and comfortable environment.”

/ Final Selection Announcement: May 12, 2025

/ Residency Dates: August 4 - September 1, 2025

This residency offers a time and place for artists to delve deeper into their research and work-in-progress methods that will expand the possibilities of their work. At the same time, it opens a space for feedback and constructive criticism and establishes networks between the residents and the local ecology.

Depending on the resident’s interests, we facilitate a direct exchange with local artists, cultural makers, educators, independent spaces, or local institutions, that will enhance their overall experience.
