Alia Malley / IG Live
Join me on Instagram, Friday, September 6 for an HSC&A / IG Live featuring the incredibly talented Alia Malley.
We’ll be taking a virtual tour of Alia's new studio and home in Lamy, New Mexico just outside Santa Fe, where the artist creates her unique, photo-based work and crafts custom scents in her very own scent lab. The studio, completed in July 2023, sits on 5 acres near a historic train depot.
We’ll discuss her move from Los Angeles to the Southwest, her recent Arctic Circle Residency, and her new book that is currently in production.
As an added bonus for those who tune in, we’ll share a curated playlist of the albums Alia has been listening to while working on The Thin Places.
The Thin Places is a photo-based project of of twenty-one unique 10 x 14 inch hand-erased archival pigment prints that was initially conceived as a portfolio to accompany musician Julia Holter’s lyrics for a collaborative Anatole / Nazraeli book to be published in 2025.
