Erica Zeledón’s art is a celebration of nature and its endless capacity for inspiration. Her compositions teem with lizards, hummingbirds, flowers, and people, rendered in a mix of graphic and illustrative styles that reflect her constant evolution as an artist. Nature is not just a backdrop for her work—it’s the foundation, the teacher, and the muse. Zeledón’s journey into the visual arts began serendipitously at the National University of Costa Rica, where an encounter with a Francisco Amighetti painting revealed the expressive power of art. This awakening set her on a path of discovery, leading her to graduate in Visual Communications and eventually establishing her own design company, Collage Design, in 2014.
Drawing from Latin American cultures, classical art, and the natural world, Zeledón’s work is characterized by vibrant colors and a connection to the cycles of life. Her illustrations explore the profound relationships between living beings, underscoring the interconnectedness of all things. Over a decade in the field, Zeledón has cultivated a quickly recognizable style, emphasizing the importance of self-reflection and practice over fleeting trends. Her work transcends visual appeal, embodying a spiritual connection to nature and a dedication to creativity that defines her life’s purpose. Through her captivating designs, she invites viewers to rediscover the wonder and beauty of the world around them.
